Training Details & Costs
These programmes are designed to inform and develop members, whether recently elected or more experienced. It will equip them with a high degree of knowledge, understanding and skills, which will enable them to carry out their role as a councillor more effectively.
Each module is designed to be delivered in a two and a half hour evening session (6:30pm - 9:00pm) at convenient venues to avoid excessive travel by participants. The cost of each training module, tailored to the size of the council, will be:
For councils with over 200 dwellings: OVW Members £30 Non members £40
For councils with fewer than 200 dwellings: OVW Members £20 Non members £30
Places will be limited to 20 participants and open to all councillors and, whilst the programme is not specifically designed for clerks, they are welcome to attend as a useful foundation for the CiLCA course currently being promoted by the SLCC and OVW.

One Voice Wales is pleased to announce that the Welsh Assembly Government is to continue the bursary scheme for another year. The scheme is designed to assist councils to participate in the One Voice Wales Councillor Training Programme.
If you are eligible, please complete and return the Bursary Application Form to us along with your booking form.
Please Note:- The Bursary Form MUST accompany your application form for training and it cannot be claimed for training that has already taken place.
