Search has begun for the next Climate Change Champions
The Welsh Assembly Government is looking for 6 enthusiastic young people aged 14-18 from across Wales to become Climate Change Champions for 2010.
The competition will offer 6 young people the opportunity to:
-
appear on television and have their own news column and blogs;
-
attend events in their local communities and across Wales to communicate the positive actions that people can take in their everyday lives to tackle climate change.
Cerith Rhys Jones, a 2009 Champion, said:
“The Climate Change Champions for Wales programme is a fantastic way to make a real difference to climate change in Wales. I’ve spoken to important politicians and business people this year, but I’ve also seen what’s happening where I live. This role opens so many doors! It’s a hugely enjoyable year, and I’d encourage any young person interested in climate change to apply.”
