Awards for Bridging Cultures
Local community groups' chance to shine
The Awards for Bridging Cultures (ABCs) gives local community groups a unique opportunity to highlight the work they do to promote bridges between different cultures and communities.
Benefits to groups applying for the awards include an opportunity to attend a one day conference to promote their work and build links with other groups. Winners of the awards for projects and schemes run by voluntary and community sector organisations will receive a trophy and cash prize.
2008 winners were:
The Shoreditch Trust’s Shoreditch Festival (International Village), encouraging local communities to share their culture through the arts.
The FolesHillfields Vision Project, supporting people to build bridges between communities through global citizenship, leadership and story telling projects.
