BBC Wales - New Nation TV Programme - Participants Required
Mentorn Cymru is a major supplier to BBC Wales from its offices in Cardiff and Llanelli. We have already made seven series for BBC Wales and have been commissioned to make two more series in 2011/2012, New Nation, Series 2 and Swansea: Living on the Streets, which we will make with our new co-production partner POP1, part of the Tinopolis Group.

CAR MILEAGE RATES – REVIEW OF CALCULATION FORMULA BY NATIONAL JOINT COUNCIL (NJC)
Please find attached below a letter from the employers’ side of the NJC, which confirms that the NJC intends to review the current calculation formula used for determining car mileage rates. The letter contains the employers’ view that the current 2010 NJC mileage rates should continue to apply (if necessary beyond 1 April 2011) until the NJC agrees an alternative method of payment. The current car allowance rates are set out in Employment Briefing E03-10.
Planning Aid Wales Training on Land Use Planning 2010-11
One Voice Wales is currently working in partnership with Planning Aid Wales (PAW) to offer a series of training sessions for CTCs on the land use planning system. Planning Aid Wales is an independent registered charity providing professional advice and support on all aspects of land use planning in Wales.

Tidy Towns Community Led Funded Projects 2011-2012
The Local Environmental Quality branch of the Welsh Assembly Government is inviting bids, under the Tidy Towns initiative, from organisations seeking funding to improve their local environmental quality. Please fully read all the documentation attached to ensure your organisation is eligible to apply, your project is suitable and meets the key criteria including the minimum and maximum contract size limit. Applications must be received by the deadline of 18.00 hours on 4th March 2011

Consultation: Governance and accountability for local councils in Wales: A Practitioners' Guide (2011)
The Practitioners’ Guide has been updated to reflect changes in statutory requirements. It also incorporates additional guidance in areas requested by practitioners. A consultation draft of the revised Guide can be found on the link below.
