Charters can enhance relationships within local government in a number of ways, not least because the process of agreeing a charter entails assessing the values and behaviour which underpin any interaction.

A Charter network for all community and town council liaison officers was established in January 2010. Contact details of the charter network can be found below along with the agenda and papers from the first charter working event, which was held on 25th January 2010.
